First is the shot of the antagonist in a commercial, modern looking office. The reason I had specifically chose this more modern setting is because I wanted demonstrate the way Guy Richie modernizes a time period and setting of 18th Century London as done in Sherlock Holmes, as well as the characters themselves and their characteristics. What I liked about this location was that it had a very plain look, therefore allowing the audience to focus on just the character and what's going on in the scene.
This location is the scene where our protagonist in the film will be hacking into the villain's secret and destructive files and blueprints for a diabolical plan.
Next is the establishing shot of the place where it is all set. I had specifically chose this location because I wanted to show more of London like what Guy Richie does in Sherlock Holmes where he shows iconic London landmarks and familiar buildings. Furthermore, this will also demonstrate how I have modernised this film which is with a commercial setting.
The next location is for the Antagonist's scenes that were taken place in the conference room used as a head office for the villain. This location was a great choice because the room had already had a great setup with the large and long window at the back, large conference table, computers and the overall office-like feel. I also chose this scene because I wanted to also demonstrate how Tim Burton uses and manipulates lighting to create a particular interpretation about a character and make them seem villainous and sinister by using the blinds to control how much light enters the room as well as the adjustable lighting in the room.
